We are a tuition-free Kindergarten through 8th grade public charter school located in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. Our mission is to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences that foster academic excellence, creativity, and social-emotional growth. Through a personalized learning model, we help students build confidence as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and leaders prepared for the future they choose.

At Prairie, student voice and choice are at the heart of our community. From clubs created by students to opportunities like our Principal Advisory, we ensure students help shape their school experience. Our STEAM lab, Keys of Inspiration piano program, and REACH Grant enrichment opportunities provide pathways for exploration and discovery. With strong partnerships—from Palmer Park to our Prairie Family Connection (PFC) and Bilingual Advisory Committee (BAC)—we strengthen the ties between school, family, and community.
